TERMS and CONDITIONS
* You must be 16 or older and a resident of Ireland to enter the competition.
* The competition is open to Amateur Photographers only.
* All photographs submitted must be the work of the individual who submits them. Entrants must ensure that photographs which include people have been taken with the permission of the subject (where identifiable) and the subject is aware that the photograph may be used in print and online in connection with and for the promotional purposes of the DNG Amateur Photography Competition 2019.
* No digitally altered images will be accepted. (No cloning, adding or removing elements). Basic enhancements are allowed, for eg brightness, contrast, and sharpening etc.).
* Entries should be submitted in a HIGH RESOLUTION format, minimum 300 dpi. JPG and TIFF formats are preferred. Images which are not high resolution may not be accepted as winning images will be reproduced in print format. Maximum file size is 20mb, anything larger than this will automatically be rejected due to server limitations.
* Photographers will be credited (eg. Picture: Mary Duffy, Cork), unless anonymity is requested.
* You warrant to us that all contributions are lawful and do not infringe any rights of any third party and that you will indemnify us in respect of any breach of that warranty.
* We reserve the right to share your identity with any third party who is claiming that any photograph submitted by you violates Irish law.
* DNG accepts no liability for any content submitted by third parties.
* Photographer will always retain full Copyright of their image. We respect the intellectual property of all photographers and we ask our community to do the same. All material published is protected by copyright and no one is allowed to copy or reproduce anything without consent.
* You license us to use the photograph you provide on our social media profiles, company websites, and printed materials.
You also licence us to use and sell your photograph via its inclusion in DNG’s 2020 charitable calendar. All proceeds of sale will be donated to Threshold, a registered Irish charity.
* You will not submit any photograph that is offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory, or obscene.
* You accept that we may exercise editorial control over the photograph and may decide not to allow publication or to refuse your entries at our absolute discretion.
* We reserve the right to crop any photographs submitted by you at our discretion in order to fit the overall design and format.
* No payment will be made for use of the pictures submitted to DNG Amateur Photography Competition 2019.
* No employees of DNG, or their immediate family, are allowed to enter the competition.
* Judges’ decision is final.
* DNG retains the right to reject or disqualify a picture from the competition for any reason.
